We believe vulnerable seniors should be provided for – and our very own residents believe the same. Mary Lou Reuter from our Greencastle of Mulford community embraces her right to serve others by providing meals during holiday closures so that no senior goes hungry.
“I feel blessed to be able to get around and help when I see people struggling.”
Each of our residents is a gift, and many of them feel called to share those gifts with others. Twice a month, the knitting/crocheting group at our Greencastle of Bienterra community makes hats and scarves for Carpenter’s Place, a community homeless shelter in the area.
We’re more than a place for seniors to age in place – we’re a home for them to live fully. Part of embracing life means acknowledging the blessings in our lives and sharing them with others.
Our Greencastle of Mulford community writes and sends heartfelt cards to make the holidays a little brighter for our veterans. They also decorate cookies to be delivered during this special time of year.
