How the Community Helped Our CASL Residents Celebrate Chinese New Year

Our CASL community (Chicago, IL) had a wonderful celebration to honor the Chinese New Year with visits from different important leaders in the Chinese community. Enjoy our recap of the various people and organizations who made our celebrations so special.

 

Miss Pageant Chicago

First, the 2018 Queen and First Princess of the Miss Chinese Chicago Pageant stopped by perform Chinese calligraphy and folk dance for the residents.

 

 

State Representative Theresa Mah

Next, State Representative Theresa Mah donated prizes for a raffle she conducted for our residents.

 

 

Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Chicago

Then, the community received a visit from the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Chicago, Mr. Hong Lei and friends, who donated funds to the community in traditional red, Chinese envelope.

 

We’re grateful for all the kind donations and support we received from these important cultural pillars in the community. Thanks to them, our residents were able to start off a new year with joyful celebrations. We hope to have another year of prosperity and good fortune at CASL, and at the rest of our communities in 2019!
